Peer Support & Spiritual Development

Senior recovering members of our community volunteer their time as peer support and mature Christian women provide discipleship through encouragement, prayer and Bible study.

About Our Program

Dottie’s Refuge is a non-profit residential program dedicated to supporting and empowering women recovering from life traumas and addiction. Our founders have been where you are now. We understand what you need, even if you don't say it.

The program includes a core curriculum: Trauma Reboot, evidence-informed recovery classes, group and individual counseling, life-skills training, Bible studies, and practical instruction for application to daily decisions. We love and work through the power of RELATIONSHIP! Surround yourself with women who are passionate about sharing their experience, strength, and hope to help you HEAL!

Sometimes, all we need is a push in the right direction.

Wellness Balance Approach

We believe true healing relies on a total wellness plan that includes mind, body, and spirit, where each component deeply influences the others. Our approach is designed to meet the unique needs of every individual on their journey to transformation and healing.

During recovery, your body is trying to rebalance itself, heal from past damage, and recalibrate systems that were affected by substances. Good nutrition and exercise support that process. Proper food, hydration, and nutrition assist in repairing physical damage, stabilize needs, reduce cravings, and restore good brain health. This is a vital part of the process of restoration.

Our hope is that during a client's time here, they will find healing, discover their God-given purpose, and learn to live a stable, sober, healthy, and Christ-centered life filled with hope and peace.

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10b

Please Note:

Safe detoxification services and comprehensive medical care through a primary care physician are important as they function as the foundation for addiction treatment.

DETOX SERVICES ARE NOT DONE ON SITE AND ARE REQUIRED TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE INTO DOTTIE'S REFUGE

All incoming residents will need to be medically detoxed and substance-free for a minimum of 30 days before acceptance; this includes meds in the Benzodiazepine family.

Due to our program focus and our limitations to provide medical staff, MAT is highly discouraged and will be considered only on a case-by-case basis.

WE DO NOT ADMINISTER OR PRESCRIBE MAT TREATMENT.

WE ARE A NON-MEDICAL FACILITY.
